Head of Media

Everything on this site — the room, the demos, the faces — exists because someone pointed a camera at it. We want that to be a person, not an accident.
This is the role that decides what Founders Keepers looks like to the people who weren’t in the room. The recap film, the photographs, the clips that travel. You’d be shaping the record of a community while it’s still small enough that the record matters.
Being straight with you up front: this is unpaid. We’re a community, not a company — there’s no budget behind this yet. What there is: full credit, complete creative latitude, an archive that becomes your portfolio, and a room full of founders who will know exactly who made it.
- Own photo and video for Founders Keepers events, including pre-event promos, event coverage, recaps, and short-form content.
- Shoot in fast-moving event environments and capture founders, demos, conversations, and key moments.
- Edit everything from start to finish, including color, pacing, sound, music, and storytelling.
- Help shape a recognizable cinematic style for Founders Keepers.
- Keep footage and photos organized for future use.
- Strong in both photography and videography.
- 2+ years of real shooting and editing experience.
- A cinematic eye and strong understanding of lighting, composition, audio, and movement.
- Comfortable taking feedback and turning revisions around quickly.
- Reliable with deadlines, including occasional tight turnarounds.
- Owns a capable camera, lenses, audio, and lighting setup.
- Has a portfolio that shows strong visual storytelling.
- Full credit on your work.
- Use everything you shoot in your portfolio.
- Access to the Founders Keepers community and events.
- Real creative ownership over the visual direction.
- First consideration for paid work as budgets grow.
No cover letter, no résumé. A reel that shows you can shoot a dark room full of people tells us everything.
